Summer is an invitation to gather friends and family. But it can be a lot to prepare, right? We got you! We asked Nadia from Studio Glitter and Goud five ideas that will delight the taste buds of your guests (and yourself) without having to spend hours preparing.

Inviting friends and family is mostly about being together. So it’s only natural that you don’t want to spend the whole time making snacks and waiting in the kitchen. That’s why we have put together a list of five original and tasty ideas for your next get-together.

#1 Easy, fast and refreshing table water

Table water is a mix of fruits, herbs or flowers. You get water with a fresh taste after 30 min. The Table Water mixes are available in different flavors. Citrus mint and blueberry for a fresh touch at dinner. Cranberry Cherry Rosemary is the slightly more acidic version but also delicious. Then there are the softer flavors based on strawberry or a flower drink then you end up with Rose mountain tea and hibiscus. As you can read, there is something for everyone.

How do you make table water?

Top up the colorful mix with natural (tap) water, let steep for at least 30 minutes and serve! Feel free to refill the carafe with water several times during the day. The taste remains delicious. Rather prefer sparkling water? This is also possible, we have already tested and approved it for you.

#2 Mocktail or cocktail? Some like it hot!

Adapted to the warm temperatures is the mango chili mocktail or cocktail. Very easy to prepare. This drink is also appreciated by non-mango lovers. The syrup is sweet but will be balanced by the bitter taste of tonic. Make the syrup based on mango with a spicier taste of red pepper according to the instruction on the jar:

– Mix 10 minutes boiling in water

– Strain

– Add 1 part syrup in a glass

– Add 1 part tonic

If you want a cocktail add another 1 part vodka or 1 part gin.

Want it a little more festive? Decorate the dainty glasses with a rim of sugar and a cocktail stick full of fruit.

#3 Delicious bread for the hungry

Making bread, we can already hear you say: I don’t have time for that.  We prove you wrong. The bread is ready in 10 to 15 minutes. The wine bread, yes with real red wine there you only need to add wine to the mix, mix with a spoon and place in the oven. For the Italian focaccia bread you add olive oil and a little water to the mix and you put it in the oven.

You can prepare the bread perfectly in the morning but just as well when your guests arrive. The bread is also delicious served lukewarm. Put a little butter on a slice of bread, coarse sea salt or risvalt and enjoy a delicious snack. A cube of cheese also goes perfectly with it.

Want to go a little more special? On the Italian focaccia you can put a topping of your choice before it goes into the oven. For example: mozzarella and tomato slices. Put some rosemary on top and the bread is a perfect eye catcher for the dinner table.

#4 Vanilla ice cream but more special

Dessert can’t be missing at a party. And what is more delicious after a meal than ice cream? Take your vanilla ice cream from the freezer, put a few scoops in a jar and then grate the Rivsalt Liquorice on top. You’ll get a taste bomb in your mouth of salty licorice. Rivsalt is completely vegan and gluten-free.

#5 A nice sweet treat but still healthy?

Would you like to offer another cup of tea or coffee with a tasty snack? Try the bonbons with a choice of brownie or strawberry. We are repeating ourselves but this delicacy is also quick to prepare. Soak dates and chop them together with the mix using a food processor. Roll them into balls and the chocolates are ready. You can give them an extra bite by rolling them in chocolate chips or sprinkles.

Do you prefer a slightly spicier candy? Then choose the bonbon carrot cake. The speculaas spices in the mix give the carrot and dates a spicy aftertaste. Also perfect for with tea or coffee.

Hopefully we gave you some great ideas and made you excited for a fun afternoon with your friends or family. Time to send out the invitations and start working on the menu. Make it a nice day, a day to cherish with small but nice moments of happiness. And let it be full of taste.
