Column: My Travel Bucket List for my 30th Birthday

It’s getting closer: Cindy is celebrating her 30th birthday in just a few days. And as she officially concludes her years in her twenties, we are also looking forward to her plans for the coming years. It promises to be really adventurous! Because as a travel enthusiast, what else did you expect then her bucket list to be all about traveling!

Talk thirty to me!

#1. Island Hopping around the Caribbean

The Caribbean has stolen my heart for several years now. So it’s also no surprise to you that I’m now staying here a lot of time. And the biggest advantage of the Dominican Republic? That is that it is super centrally located in the Caribbean!

Often you have to fly over Miami, but within 5 to 6 hours you are in the Bahamas, Jamaica, Cuba, Turks and Caicos and so on. Other islands that are still on my wish list are Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia and the Virgin Islands. I feel some Island hopping coming up the next few years! Who wants to join me?

#2. Visiting the Grand Barrier Reef in Australia

Since my first trip to Australia in February 2020, I have always had plans to go back. Australia is magical and the atmosphere you find there is very similar to the Caribbean: there is no stress, you can discover something new every day and it is very adventurous.

During the trip to the East Coast, however, we just didn’t have time to continue our journey up to the Great Barrier Reef which is known for the stunning coral formations, giant clams, rare species of whales, and six of the world’s seven marine turtle species. Not to mention the over 1,600 species of fish who call this aquatic wonderland home. It is just something I have to visit!

If I go back to Australia, I would combine this trip anyway with a trip to Papua New Guinea or Bali. Or just to the South: New Zealand. There is so much possible from Australia!

#3. Getting overwhelmed in New York

A short city trip is always nice and since my 16th birthday, New York has been on my wish list of places to visit. For some unknown reason, I still haven’t made it there. But people keep telling me I would love it! So maybe it’s finally the time to bring out my inner Carrie Bradshaw. Who wants to be my Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda?

#4. Soaking up the Polynesian culture

To go back closer to Oceania: Polonia is also high on my travel bucket list! Their culture intrigues me greatly and I can’t wait to learn more about it: on the spot. From Fiji to Samoa, French Polynesia, Tahiti, Bora Bora and Hawaii: this trip just has to happen! The question now is: when?

#5. Beautiful Africa and the Seychelles

The Seychelles, officially the Republic of Seychelles, is a country and island in Africa north of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. Madagascar is then of course perfect to combine during this trip.

But why this tropical island? First of all: who doesn’t like pearly white beaches. But of course there is much more than that. The rocks on “Le Digue” is what integrates me the most. It has something magical about it and I don’t believe it looks this stunning until I’ve seen it for myself. But besides that, it would be great to discover the giant tortoises, go diving and to go into the jungle! It will adventurous for sure!

Besides traveling, of course, there are other exciting plans to make my years as a thirty-something adventurous and memorable! And with great pleasure I will share my experiences and adventures knowledge in the future articles and Social Media posts. But for now: let’s eat some cake and pop champagne!
