More and more companies are looking for new ways to increase visibility and sales. In addition to standard Social Media such as Facebook and Instagram, there is now a big shift to new channels, including Pinterest. So today, Social Media Expert Cindy gives you three reasons why you, too, should be active on Pinterest with your business.

Pinterest is next to Google, the biggest online search platform.

#1 It’s an additional platform to generate sales

The biggest advantage of Pinterest is that you can put links behind your image or video. This allows you to link directly to product pages or associated landing pages. In doing so, people don’t have to go back to your profile first to click on a link. Which can often lead to distraction and loss of a potential customer.

#2 Pinterest helps you grow your other accounts

Just as you can post links from your products or landing pages, you can also link your instagram to your Pinterest publications. Additionally, you can add a Call to Action that when they like your post, they can share with the tags leading to your profile.

#3 Your content has a longer lifespan

Unlike Instagram where your post has a maximum lifespan of 24 to about 72h, with Pinterest you have an average lifespan of 3 to 6 months. By using accurate search terms and keywords, your content can be found at any time and gain new reach.

Extra: The Pinterest e-book for Brands

Have you already read so much about Pinterest and want to get started correctly to take your business to the next level? Then learn all about it in our e-book “Pinterest Guide for Brands” which you can download here.

In this e-book, we tell you all about Pinterest’s target audience, the different ways you can use it to generate extra sales and how to put together the correct boards and pins.

The key to succes in Pinterest, and in life as well, is always consistency. Being consistent with the content you create and post. The more the algorithm sees what your brand is about, the more it will show up in the (smart) feed of many relevant users when they search through Pinterest. We can’t wait to see the results. Good luck!
