Have you thought about the first thing visitors of your Instagram profile see? At the top left, those are your stories, and even before they get to your feed, they see your highlights. So both must immediately answer certain questions and expectations if you want them to convert into sales. And Social Media expert Cindy gives you three tips today that will help you make this happen!
The three tips we discuss with you today are part of the second day of our Blogzine Digital Bootcamp. A two-day event where our Blogzine Academy members work on both theory and practice around a particular theme. This season, “Guide to Viral Video Content” and “Create Stories and Highlights for your Brand” were the two main entry points. Be sure to get started with these tips because you too want to bring in those extra sales!
#1: Use your Branding Colors
Branding is important because not only is it what makes a memorable impression on consumers, but it allows your customers and clients to know what to expect from your company. It is a way of distinguishing yourself from the competitors and clarifying what it is you offer that makes you the better choice.
A part of branding is about the colors. And these are a reflection of your brand identity. Your color palette should therefore align with your values and the messaging that you wish to communicate. And you will continue to use this identity throughout your whole Social Media presence. Each story, highlight cover and publication you make, should align and complete the look, feel and vision of your company!
#2: Create Converting Stories
How great would it be if you generated at least one sale after every story publication? Let us give you good news in advance: it is not impossible. But you need to master two important things to make it happen.
Number one is your storytelling. Know what you are telling to which target audience and in what way you need to convince them. Our Storytelling Canvas helps you with this step by step and can be found in the e-book “Storytelling as a free Marketing Tool“. Download it today and get started!
Number two is adding clear and compelling Call to Actions. A call to action (or CTA) is a text prompt designed to inspire the target audience of a marketing campaign to take a desired action. For example, a call to action can encourage people to click on a link, leave a social media comment, visit an online store, make a purchase, etc. Through our latest e-book “Ultimate Guide to perfect Call To Actions,” you will learn how to just convert your text into a sale!
#3: Never forget your Brands Values
When starting and building your business, you did the thought exercise: what are the values my business stands for? What do I want to be known for and what do I mainly want to be recognized for. You take those answers with you when you publish something in your stories or when you create your highlights.
And we have a very easy example for you: imagine that one of your values is “Being Unique.” Then first of all avoid using templates that everyone else already has. Go for different names of your products, choose to create unique story blocks and concepts that can be linked to them. If you create the same typical “Collection – Contact – Reviews – ….” highlights like everyone else, then your unique value will not emerge. Be creative and stand out! Be unique…
We look forward to discovering how you will approach your stories and highlights thanks to our tips. Would you like additional help in achieving additional sales or have questions around Social Media? Contact us through partnerships@blogzine.be! We would love to help you reach your goals.
